talented offensively. He has come out of his shell
and does a good job on the ball defensively. He
just needs to be consistent.”
Steele’s post player is Alijah Comithier, a 6-5
It remains to be seen if the Knights – who made
the state semifinals in 2013 and 2016 – can make
history this season by grabbing the big trophy for
the first time in school history.
But, either way, Hubbard said Comithier will play
a key role.
“He’s a deadly shooter from the corners, and he is
handling the ball well,” Hubbard said. “When you
are 6-foot-5 like he is, he will draw out opposing
centers. And he can be a matchup problem for
them because he can shoot or drive past them.”
